How to Add Legal Policies in Squarespace

Method #1: Embed Policy

Click Website on the My Dashboard.

Click Pages.

On Main Navigation, click +

Select Blank Page

Type the policy name. Then, click EDIT.

On Page Content, click ADD SECTION.

Click Add Blank +

Click +

Choose </> Code

Paste the embed code of your policy. Then, click Save in the upper left corner to apply changes.

Method #2: Display Policy in a pop-up

This is a two-step process.

Step 1: Create a link to your legal policy on your website.

Click Website on My Dashboard.

Click EDIT

Scroll down to Site Footer and click ADD SECTION

Click Add Blank +

Type the policy name on the text field and highlight it.

Click the chain icon on the toolbar. Then, paste the URL of your policy and click Apply.

Once done, click Save in the upper left corner to apply changes.

Step 2: Copy the script code from your WebsitePolicies account and paste it into the HTML section of the page

Click +

Select </> Code

Click Edit icon

Paste the Display Policy in a pop-up code and click Save in the upper left corner to apply changes.

Method #3: Link Policy

Click Website on My Dashboard.

Click EDIT

Scroll down to Site Footer and click ADD SECTION

Click Add Blank +

Type the policy name on the text field and highlight it.

Click the chain icon on the toolbar. Then, paste the URL of your policy and click Apply.

Once done, click Save in the upper left corner to apply changes.

Method #4: Copy & Paste

Click Website on My Dashboard.

Click Pages.

On Main Navigation, click +

Select Blank Page

Type the policy name. Then, click EDIT.

On Page Content, click ADD SECTION.

Click Add Blank +

For HTML format: Click +

Choose </> Code

Paste the HTML format of your policy. Then, click Save in the upper left corner to apply changes.

For plain text: Paste the plain text of your policy in the text field. Click Save in the upper left corner to apply changes.
